Grilled Lean & Mean Turkey And Mushroom Burger

Did you know that many fitness experts recommend eating turkey?
Grass-fed organic turkey is the best option which is what my recipe calls for.

Servings 2


2 lean and organic turkey patties
1 4 ounce can mushrooms/drained
2 slices pineapple/grilled
4 slices  whole-wheat Sandwich Thins Rolls/Toasted
2 teaspoons mustard
2 slices provolone


Heat gas grill to high
Grill turkey patties until a golden brown and slightly charred on both sides
6 minutes should be sufficient for turkey burgers
Use a meat thermometer if uncertain, temperature should read at 165

While burgers are cooking, add 1 teaspoon of olive oil to a small saucepan
Add mushrooms and saute until golden brown on medium heat/set aside
Two minutes before turkey patties are done, place the pineapple and sandwich thins on the grill
Do not cross- contaminate the turkey and the other ingredients while cooking
Remove from grill,place sandwich thins on a plate
Add mustard, burger, cheese, pineapple, and mushrooms
